Q. My Adobe Flash is blocked or not enabled.

  1. On your computer, open Google Chrome
  2. At the top right, click Settings
  3. At the bottom, click Advanced
  4. Under "Privacy and Security", click Site settings
  5. Scroll down to Flash,click Flash
  6. At the top, turn off Block Sites from running Flash (slide the toggle switch over
  7. Begin your course again, select Allow Flash to run

Q. How do I log in to begin my course?
A. Begin at our web site www.realtyinstitute.net on the home page, click returning students login and enter your e mail and password and click course access. First time students will fill in a profile page and verify everything is correct.

Q. I purchased my course and I don't see the receipt or the log in directions or I see one but not the other. I forgot my password and requested another:
A. Before CALLING the office please check your spam or junk folder.

Q. I just completed a chapter and a check is in the box but the next chapter will not unlock.
A. Log onto the last chapter completed with the check in the box and make sure you have clicked the arrow on the last page to unlock the next chapter.

Q. I completed my course and tried to print my certificate but the course is no longer there:
A. Log back in and on the menu on the left, click courses and Completed courses, your course has been moved from Available to Completed. Courses are stacked from the most recent at the top . The course or courses you just completed will be at the top of the page.

Q. I am trying to log in and it keeps saying click for home page:
A. Your computer has stored a cookie, no problem: Go to your Internet Start Menu and click control panel, and then click Network and Internet. Under internet options click delete browsing history and cookies. Near the bottom of the box under browsing history, it says delete temporary files, history, cookies, saved passwords and web form information. Click delete and the next window will open that says browsing history. Make sure there is a check in the top four boxes and click delete. After this is completed just log back into your course.

For Google chrome users on the top right corner of your browser there are three dots, click the three dots and click on history then history again, click clear browsing data and the top four boxes should be checked checked. (including cookies) Click clear browsing data and clear the data. Open a new browser to log back into our returning student log in link on our home page to access the log in page.

Q. Can I use AOL to take your course?
A. Many students do, with no issues, but sometimes AOL blocks the password from working so we suggest using Internet Explorer, Fire Fox, or Google Chrome.

Q. How long is my online course valid?
A. Your course is valid for one year from date of purchase. Expiration date can be viewed in the box where you click start course. It will say more information. Click there and view your expiration date.

Q. Can I use a Mac to access your courses?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you notify the state of my completed courses?
A. Yes, upon completion of your courses Realty Institute will notify your state of your completed hours If notification in your state is required.

Q. Can I print out my completion certificate when the course is completed?
A. Most states allow you to print out your certificate when your course is completed. However, in NEW YORK the requirements are different. (See NEW YORK requirements on the NY page.)

Q. What do I need to do to when I complete the 22.5 hrs. of CE Online?
A. Print the completion record and keep in a safe place. You are then permitted to renew your license and pay your fee through the NY Dept. of State.

Q. How do I access the completion record of my 22.5 hrs. of CE?
A. Log on and go to Courses and Completed Courses and print your online completion record.

Q. After I complete the online portion of the 75 hour Salesperson Licensing Course or 30 hour gap course am I required to take both a school and state exam?
A. Yes. Both are in person formats.
A proctored exam form for the school will be available for you to print and take with you when you take the school exam. A list of proctor sites is available on our New York Page under Proctored Exam Centers. The results will be sent to our office and a certificate will be mailed to you as soon as they are verified. If the test is taken in our main office or the Nassau County proctor site, your test will be graded immediately and if a passing score has been attained, a certificate will be issued immediately. You must register for the State exam on the Dept. of State website. There is a link to the Dept. of State on our New York page.
